I love taking my kiddos here. It’s local and so much fun! All the slides are enjoyable for all ages! There are a rage of activities from a splash pad to diving board! Mom, Dad, They, Them, kiddos, all welcome!
Unfortunately I’ve had two situations where staff has never returned calls about services. My husband tried to sign my son up for swim classes and was placed on the waitlist. We received a call that there was availability to register and called back the same day, but had to leave a voicemail. We never received a call back regarding confirmation or otherwise, even after calling a second time to express interest. I also submitted an application on Nov 7 to rent a room on Jan 6. I was told applications were processed at the end of the month, so I expected to wait a bit. I still haven’t received any response as of 12/19, despite my husband and I both calling and leaving voicemails with the executive director requesting an update on the application. This has been really frustrating.
Update 12/21: I received a follow-up email from Chris apologizing for the delay. He also offered to waive the deposit fee. I cancelled the request because it is too late to get out invites and RSVPs, but I was happy to finally hear from someone.
BRAC is an amazing and welcoming place with so much to do and great organized activities going on all the time. The gym, the swimming pools, the lockers, the preschool, the summer camp, the highly professional instructor lead group fitness classes, etc. are highly rated and recommended. We love Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Center.
I work close there kids love to play thare
We reserved pickleball time and didn't know how it was going to be set up. But it was set up quite nicely with a portable pickleball net. They also brought down the portable walls on two sides to make it so that we were by ourselves. All in all they did a very good job.
Nice facility and very clean. Gymnastics class for the kids are here and the trainers for it are super nice and very good at what they do. It's not cheap if you are not a resident. They have open gym on Tuesdays at 2:30 I think so you can check it out, 5 bucks a kid for an hour or so.
This is a great venue for kids of all ages. They have lots to see and do.
Other than the IRS, BPD is probably the next institution to get most of my money 😁. I had my kids in a multitude of classes there, preschool, birthday parties. They have a large selection of classes and activities at affordable prices. Sometimes the student-instructor ratio is high, and sometimes the lockers and bathrooms are not clean. The parks are well maintained. Overall, it is a nice park district.
Good facility, needs more changing rooms. And update, still need more changing rooms.
For a community center, cheap and best. Friendly staff, but not-so-efficient management (of the facility). The racquetball courts are a stifling sweat boxes and management isn't able to figure out how to control the humidity with a simple meter and circulate air. In about an hour, the floors and walls start to sweat beads of water. We had incidents where the players slipped and fell heavily. The locker rooms are a another story with clogged shower heads and drains.
